ACLM maintains an internal database of Fellows and Members who are willing to be contacted regarding providing medico-legal reports and expert evidence.

Are you a member who wants to become part of ACLM’s Expert Witness database?

The College is occasionally approached by legal professionals who seek a suitable person to provide a medico-legal report or expert evidence.

ACLM Fellows and Members are invited to join the Expert Witness database by downloading and completing the form below. Email your completed form to members@legalmedicine.com.au

You will then be notified of any opportunities relevant to your field of expertise, and your contact details will be sent to the legal practitioner.

Are you a legal professional looking for a suitable medical professional to write an independent medico-legal report or give expert evidence?

Contact us at members@legalmedicine.com.au to lodge an enquiry. Please include as much detail as you are able to share about the type of expert you are seeking, understanding that this will be forwarded to any members who match your enquiry (do not include confidential information). You will be provided with possible experts' name, contact details, qualifications and areas of expertise.

  • This database is for College use only and will not be published publicly or online. Access is via the College's Administrative Officers.
  • By volunteering to join the database, you give ACLM permission to provide your name, qualifications, areas of specialty and contact details to legal professionals if a relevant enquiry is made.
  • Members are not obligated to provide services and may choose to accept or reject any opportunity.
  • This database will not be used for enquiries made by the general public.
  • ACLM provides this service for the benefit of it’s members, however it does not guarantee the availability, quality or suitability of a particular contact.

Information for Associate members

The Expert Witness Database is a service provided for ACLM Fellows and Members in recognition of their expertise, experience, and additional training in legal medicine.

If you are an Associate who is experienced in medico-legal reporting and would like to be contacted regarding relevant opportunities, please fill in the same form above. Your details will be kept on file in case there are no Fellows or Members suited to a particular opportunity.

It will be up to the discretion of the College whether or not to provide your contact details on this occasion.
